Kensington Avenue Primary School is running a workshop for parents and carers of children who are new to the school.
The event will be held on Tuesday 3rd October from 09.00 in the school’s dining hall and will provide an opportunity for parents and carers to learn more about the school, ask questions and get help where required.
Mrs P. Bhambra, the school’s Family Support Worker, and Mrs J. Westwood, Educational Welfare Officer, will be hosting the workshop.
The following areas will be covered:
- How all children at the school can claim free school meals in 2023/24 under the Mayor of London’s initiative
- Help with benefits
- How children are settling in
- Attendance: expectations, how to report an absence and what evidence to supply (if applicable)
- Pre-loved school uniform
- Support with routines
