A new Healthy School Street that will benefit students and staff at Kensington Avenue Primary School and Norbury High School for Girls as well as local residents is to be trialled by Croydon Council. The aim is to help students make safer, healthier journeys to and from school by closing off surrounding roads to cars and other motor traffic during busy school drop-off and pick-up times.
The following roads will be included in the scheme:
- Kensington Avenue
- Buckingham Avenue
- Buckingham Gardens
- Willow Tree Way
- Golf Close
- Hawthorn Avenue
Th trial is set to begin on Monday 13th March 2023.
